The Club
The North Bay Karate Club was founded over 20 Years ago and operates Dojos in both Sturgeon Falls and North Bay.
The club is a not for profit organization dedicated to helping people reach their full potential through the instruction of traditional martial arts.
Its Founder
Sensei Linda the Clubs founder and chief instructor has been involved in the martial arts for over 30 years. She holds a 4th dan black belt in Karate (Goju) and a 3rd dan jiu-jitsu. She also has a Degree in Early Childhood Education and a BofEd specializing in special education. Her unique background has enabled her to develop the very effective and individualized martial arts program that the club teaches, whilst remaining true to the concepts and ideals of traditional Okinawan Karate.

STUDENT’S CHARTER OF RIGHTS
1. A Student has the right to enjoy training at this Dojo at all times
2. A Student has the right to ask question and to ask questions at anytime, and to receive a response in a respectful way
3. A Student has the right to learn in a respectful manner without being harassed, belittled, intimidated or made to feel inadequate in any way
4. A Student has the right to choose their partner and to change partners at any time if they are not comfortable with that person
5. No Person has a right to touch another person in anyway that is not respectful as well as is permission is not giving by way of gesture, acknowledgment or verbally spoken.
6. A Student has the right of choice to choose to train a particular technique, exercise, or otherwise and to know that it is acceptable to refrain if it is not comfortable to the student
7. A Student has the right to learn in a ethnical manner and is not required to do or say anything that contravenes their personal belief system or values of religion
8. A Student has the right of safety and safe instruction
9. A Student has the right of privacy and no person may talk of another person unless it is with respect
10. All students belong to our community where respect, safety, sharing and fairness are values we never lose sight of
BLACK BELT OATH
1. To honor the concepts of Truth, Life, and Love
2. To practice the precepts of Wisdom, Benevolence, and Courage
3. To Further the cause of Justice, and Just Causes.
4. To Preserve and Perpetuate the Spirit of Bubo.
5. Never to dishonor myself, the position of my rank or the Federation to which I belong.
Regestration
Students regester for a 12 monthe period. New regestrations are taken at any time in the year as long as there is room in the class. All new students get a complimentary uniform when they regester.
